PSI Does Not Accept Giring Ganesha Being Labeled Naive By Pasha Ungu Gegara Criticism Of DKI Floods

JAKARTA - The PSI DPRD DKI faction did not accept the Acting Chairman of PSI Giring Ganesha being labeled naive by the Chairman of the DPP PAN Sigit Purnomo alias Pasha Ungu.

Pasha, who is also a former Deputy Mayor of Palu, called Giring a naive person for criticizing the handling of Jakarta's floods by DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan. This is because Giring has no experience as a regional head.

The member of the PSI DPRD DKI faction August Hamonangan defended Giring's criticism. According to him, there is no basis for criticism to be delivered only by those who are experienced.

"If Bang Pasha's logic is used, I am afraid that later there will be no one who has the right to criticize public officials, because they have to have experience managing the kelurahan first, as he said. "Criticism is just criticism, experience is not a requirement," said August in his statement, Wednesday, February 24.

August said Giring had a basis when criticizing, namely and objective facts. As well, Giring has also held intensive discussions with members of the PSI faction at the DKI Jakarta DPRD regarding floods in the capital.

"Personally, I think a critical attitude towards the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is a must. Because the DKI budget is very large, it must be optimally utilized. Don't get the wrong target, "said August.

"Mas Anies, as the head of the region, must ensure that every rupiah of the budget is used for the benefit of the people," he continued.

Previously, through the Instagram account @giring, Giring wrote criticism of Anies Baswedan regarding efforts to deal with floods in Jakarta. Giring regretted the attitude of Anies who only blamed other areas. He also said that Anies had no clear way of dealing with flooding.

"Mas Governor @aniesbaswedan should not just blame the rainfall and floods. In the previous flood, the status of floodgates in Bogor and Depok was normal. This means that the flood happened because Governor Anies did not have a clear plan and way to overcome it," wrote Giring.

"Over the past three years Mas Anies has never been serious about dealing with floods. Besides, Mas Anies has proven to have no capability to manage Jakarta. The naturalization of rivers that Mas Anies has always been talking about is proven to be only a concept on paper, not being carried out in the field while river normalization is abolished," he continued Sleigh.
