The Integrity Score Of The Ministry Of Industry Has Decreased Since 2021, What's Up?
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has launched the results of the 2023 Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI).
In this SPI, the KPK describes the results of assessments in various institutions ranging from the central to regional levels.
SPI 2023 involves 639 ministries/agencies and local governments.
The survey involved 553,321 respondents from employees in agencies, service recipients, licensing, cooperation partners, procurement vendors, BPK auditors, BPKP, Ombudsman, academics, to employers' associations.
Then what are the results of the SPI of the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) today?
The higher the SPI score, the better it would be. The KPK said that all respondents stated that they had found gratification practices in each institution.
Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said the SPI for the performance of his ministry continued to decline from 2021 to 2023.
"There is one interesting thing that the integrity assessment survey conducted by the KPK, the Ministry of Industry has continued from 2021 until this year has decreased," said Minister of Industry Agus in the Kick Off agenda of Financial Management and Risk Cultural Development Strategy at the Ministry of Industry office, Jakarta, Thursday, February 1.
Agus assessed that there were two things that caused the integrity of the Ministry of Industry to decline, namely the case of salt and IMEI.
"After we conducted an assessment, an indication of a decrease of 7 points from 2022 to 2023, because there were two cases handled by the authorities, namely the salt case and the IMEI case," he said.
Thus, Agus emphasized that this must be a major concern for all officials in his ministry, so that the integrity of these state institutions can increase again.

"I think Permen No. 24 can become our corridor so that things that have happened and caused the decline in our SPI by the KPK will not happen again," he added.
The Ministry of Industry's integrity score in 2021 had touched 85, then decreased to 81 in 2022.
In 2023 it will fall again to 74.
