Peugeot 5008 Latest Generation Will Be Introduced In March, Here's The Excess

JAKARTA - Peugeot, a well-known auto brand from France, announced that it will launch the latest 5008 generations in March.

Reporting from Autocar, Wednesday, January 31, the appearance of the model will not be much different from the conventional silhouette, because this car prioritizes the practicality side thanks to dimensions bigger than its brother, 3008.

Peugeot 5008 will use the same platform as the latest 3008, namely STLA Medium, which was developed by the parent company, Stellantis. The architecture can flexibly be compatible with hybrid and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) drivers.

Thus, this platform has sophisticated capabilities and can make the car under the Stellantis run up to 700 km on a single charge.

The latest generation electric car will replace the conventional emissioning engine model. The company also said that the SUV was under construction and was not a surprise considering this model was caught on a spy camera while testing.

In addition, the cabin part of the SUV will carry the same i-Cockpit designs as 3008, consisting of a 21-inch screen that combines cluster instruments and infotainment screens.

Unfortunately, the specifications for this car are still very limited. As an illustration, Peugeot 3008 offers hybrid and BEV drivers. For the hybrid, the car carries a 1.2 liter engine connected to a 48V millid-hybrid battery, generating up to 131 dk of power driven front wheels with an automatic transmission of six accelerations.

Meanwhile, the electricity version is offered with a single electric motor that can emit up to 205 dk which can run from 0 to 100 km/hour in 8.7 seconds. Meanwhile, the dual-motor version has up to 314 dk of power and is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in 6.4 seconds.
