Sandiaga Uno Meets National Police Chief Listyo Sigit To Discuss 5 Super Priority Destinations
JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo received a visit from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Wednesday, February 24.
During the visit, the National Police Chief and Sandiaga discussed coordination to strengthen 5 super priority destinations.
"Earlier we were discussing to synergize the programs we can do to accelerate and strengthen super priority destinations," said Chief of Police Listyo after the meeting.
According to the National Police Chief, approximately 34 million people are dependent on these tourism sectors. Apart from strengthening efforts, the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country must not be forgotten.
This means that strengthening 5 super priority destinations must be in line with the government's efforts to reduce the growth rate of COVID-19.
"I reported to him that we have directly inspected these locations where we are especially concerned about the implementation of micro PPKM. Indeed, to be able to introduce the domestic and foreign communities related to tourism we are safe. Several areas visited by the Police team from Yogyakarta to Bali have enforced strict health protocols, starting from entering the airport area or land routes.

In line with the police chief, Sandiaga Uno expressed his gratitude to the National Police for supporting the program at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
"In accordance with the president's direction to revive tourism and restore the creative economy. So far, it has been running in good collaboration and there have been several directions from the President regarding the preparation of five super priority destinations," Sandiaga said.
In addition to strategic steps such as infrastructure, interconnection to networks, the Ministry of Tourism will also prepare creative economy products and a calendar of events.
