Stafsus Edhy Prabowo Testifies At Bribe Session For Benur Export Permits, Reveals The Direction Of The Former Minister Of KKP

JAKARTA - Edhy Prabowo's special staff (Stafsus), Safri Muis said that the former Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Edhy Prabowo gave directions to help companies that were having difficulties during the lobster clear seed (BBL) licensing process.

Safri Muis was presented by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) as a witness in the trial of alleged bribery for the export license of lobster or fry with the accused, the boss of PT Dua Putera Perkasa Pertama, Suharjito.

Edhy Prabowo's direction was revealed based on Safri's confession which was stated in the investigation report (BAP). In the BAP, Safri said that Edhy Prabowo gave directions regarding licensing.

"Suadara Edhy gave me directions to help certain companies so that the licensing process could be carried out immediately," said the prosecutor reading out BAP Safri at the trial at the Corruption Court, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 24.

"That is true?" asked the prosecutor to confirm the contents of the BAP.

Safri confirmed Edhy Prabowo's direction. But he dismissed the directive only to help certain companies.

"(Company) In general, it is not certain," said Safri.

The prosecutor also asked what the pattern of direction from Edhy Prabowo was. Safri said the directions were delivered at the official residence of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP). Because at that time the KKP was implementing a work-from-home pattern.

"It's normal if there is a meeting at Widya Chandra. Meet me (give directions)," he said.

Then the prosecutor returned to check on the contents of Safri's BAP regarding certain companies. But again Safri argued in the context of helping all companies that find it difficult to obtain permits.

"As far as I remember it is not certain. But if there was indeed this company, who contacted the minister about it (permission) in general he said that it had to be assisted in processing it," he said.

In this case, the Director of PT Dua Putera Perkasa Pratama (PT DPP), Suharjito, was charged with bribing the former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Edhy Prabowo in the amount of IDR 2.1 billion. The bribe is related to the export license for lobster or fry.

"Defendant Suharjito has committed several acts that have such a relationship that it must be seen as a continuing act, namely giving or promising something, namely giving something in the form of a total of USD 103 thousand and Rp 706,055,440 to Civil Servants or State Administrators, namely to Edhy Prabowo as Minister Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia (KP-RI Minister), "said KPK prosecutor Siswandono in a trial at the Corruption Court, Jakarta, Thursday, February 11.

The amount of bribes amounting to Rp2.1 billion represents the accumulated money given. This is because, if converted to rupiah, 103 thousand United States (US) dollars are worth Rp. 1,441,799,150 or around Rp1.4 billion.

The indictment also states that Suharjito gave bribes to Edhy Prabowo through the special staff of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Safri and Andrau Misanta Pribadi. In addition, the name of Edhy's Personal Secretary, Amiril Mukminin, and Ainul Faqih as the personal staff of Edhy Prabowo's wife, namely, Iis Rosita Dewi, were also written.

Suharjito was charged with Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 13 of the Law on the Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
