Photo Crossed Out During PTDH Ceremony, Tasikmalaya Police Member Fired For Drug Case

TASIKMALAYA - Tasikmalaya Police, West Java, dishonorably dismissed or dismissed a member with the rank of Brigadier for being involved in drug abuse and other serious disciplinary violations.

"Disrespectful dismissal within the National Police is the end of the police service period by an official authorized to a member of the National Police because he has been proven to have violated the police professional code of ethics, discipline, and/or criminal acts," said Tasikmalaya Police Chief AKBP Bayu Catur Prabowo at the member's dishonorable dismissal ceremony (PTDH) reported by ANTARA, Monday, January 29.

He said the dismissal of Brigadier Yandry Purnama Azie was based on a long decision and process for violating the code of ethics, such as not entering the office or carrying out duties as members of the National Police and abusing drugs.

"This is a form of maximum realization of the application of discipline in order to realize the rule of law within the National Police, especially the Tasikmalaya Police," said the Police Chief.

He said PTDHitu was a firm action by the National Police institution against members who were proven to have violated the rules of discipline, ethics, and norms, as well as being responsible for their actions in accordance with the National Police Chief Regulation Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission.

The police chief emphasized that members of the National Police should carry out their duties to serve the community well to maintain security, order, protect, protect, and enforce the law.

"I emphasize that in order to realize this personality trait, every member of the Tasikmalaya Police in carrying out his duties and authorities is always called to live and to foster the ethics of the police profession," he said.

The police chief hopes that violations of the code of ethics or unlawful acts will not happen again within the National Police, especially the Tasikmalaya Police, and the case of Brigadier Yandry Purnama is a lesson to further improve professionalism and work discipline.

The PTDH ceremony for members of the National Police was not attended by the member concerned, only his photo was taken by other members of the National Police, then crossed out.

The police chief hopes that Polri members who are dismissed and return to society can live their lives better outside the Polri organization.

"After returning to society, it is well received and can have a better chance of having a career outside the Polri organization," he said.
