JCI Tuesday Afternoon Raised 1.64 Percent To 5220.83 Level

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed higher on trading Tuesday, March 10. JCI closed up 1.64 percent or 84.02 points to 5,220.83.

At the close of trading, 255 stocks that rose brought strengthening for the JCI. As for the stocks that fell, 145 were recorded, and 143 stocks were recorded as stagnant.

Binaartha Sekuritas analyst, M. Nafan Aji Gustama, said that the strengthening of the JCI was driven by the share buyback policy which market players appreciated.

"On the other hand, Trump's policy of cutting payroll taxes has finally gained appreciation from all market players globally," Nafan told VOI.

This afternoon, stocks that entered the top gainers, namely PT Repower Asia Indonesia Tbk (REAL) rose Rp14 or 22.95 percent to Rp75, shares of PT Batulicin Nusantara Maritim Tbk (BESS) rose Rp.22 or 12.36 percent to Rp200, and shares PT Tiphone Mobile Indonesia Tbk (TELE) increased by IDR 14 or 11.2 percent to IDR 139.

As for the stocks that entered the top losers, among others, the shares of PT Indonesia Vehicle Terminal Tbk (IPCC) fell IDR 20 or 5.78 percent to IDR 326, PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) decreased IDR 60 or 4.94 percent to IDR 1,155, and shares of PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) fell IDR100 or 4.41 percent to IDR2,170.
