Ganjar Wants A Friendly Development Draft For Persons With Disabilities
ProGO KULON - Candidate for President Ganjar Pranowo wants equality in the development plan for groups of women, children, and people with disabilities.“ Every time we prepare a development plan, people are often left behind. Who are they? Groups of women are often left behind, children are often left behind, the elderly are often left behind, especially friends with disabilities. So, let us pay attention to that equality exists, including in education,” he said at the Yogyakarta People's Celebration event in Kulon Progo, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Antara, Sunday, January 28.Especially for people with disabilities, conceptually and theoretically, future development planning that is inclusive towards these groups is not difficult to plan.During his 10 years as Governor of Central Java, he admitted that he had learned from people with disabilities so that the government was wiser in designing development, so that they could prosper them."This (disabled person) must be with a special action, it cannot be equated with others," said Ganjar. Therefore, he assessed that people with disabilities need special treatment in access to transportation, self-evacuation, education, skills, self-development, to access to capital."This is what concerns us and our friends from people with disabilities, they convey input to me. There is still a lot to correct, including earlier I admitted that I was wrong because every time we are on stage, we make speeches, we are excited that there are always shouts (of people with disabilities who can't hear). I'm sad about that, so there was one who reminded us, so sometimes we pay with simple things, we go down and they ask for photos, it feels good,” he said.
Although he has been willing to take a photo with people with disabilities as a form of payment for not providing deaf translators in campaign activities, Ganjar said that inclusive development planning for people with disabilities will be prepared more wisely in the future."Of course, this is just a temporary surprise (photo with people with deaf people), but later we have to be wiser to prepare, ” he said.
