Shares Increase 16.5 Percent, BBNI Market Capitalization Reaches IDR 200.5 Trillion In 2023

JAKARTA - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI reported that the value of BBNI's market capitalization reached Rp200.5 trillion, supported by an increase in BBNI's share price throughout 2023.

Until the closing of trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on December 29, 2023, BBNI closed at a price of IDR 5,375 per sheet, an increase of 16.5 percent year to date (YtD).

"After being traded at a new price after making a stock split on October 6, 2023, the company's share price continues to increase," said BNI Finance Director Novita Widya Anggraini quoting Antara.

The increase in share prices is supported by high confidence from investors, where throughout 2023 BBNI recorded a net purchase value by foreigners (Net Foreign Buy) of IDR 3.5 trillion or equivalent to 1.75 percent of the total market cap.

This ratio is the best on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2023. BNI managed to become the Top-7 issuer with the largest trade liquidity level (turnover) with a total trading value of IDR 63 trillion.

With the outlook for positive business growth through a prudent growth strategy, Novita said the company believes it can achieve healthy and sustainable profitability.

"This will strengthen capital organically, meet BNI Group's business and investment needs, and allow the distribution of attractive dividends for the 2023 financial year," he said.

BNI is proactively expanding its business with a focus on asset quality and transactional improvement. With a positive performance in 2023, BNI is optimistic to continue to increase productivity, innovation and global expansion.

"The transformation process at BNI also provides a positive outlook on future performance," he said again.
