TPN Waits For Bawaslu Process Mahfud To Be Reported For Being Considered Hina Gibran
JAKARTA - The Ganjar-Mahfud National Winning Team (TPN) is still waiting for the attitude and follow-up of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) in processing reports against candidate number 3, Mahfud MD.
Mahfud MD was reported by the Election Supervisory Advocate (Awaslu) on charges of insulting the vice presidential candidate number 2, Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the fourth debate of the 2024 presidential election on Sunday, January 21.
"We are still waiting for a few reports to be processed by Bawaslu parties," said TPN Deputy for Law Ganjar-Mahfud, Todung Mulya Lubis at the TPN Media Center Ganjar-Mahfud, Central Jakarta, Thursday, January 25.
Todung said that until now there has been no summons from Bawaslu in following up on the handling of the alleged election violation. Along with this, TPN is also preparing the data needed if Bawaslu summons Mahfud for clarification.
"(We have communicated with Pak Mahfud's team, we are trying to collect materials, evidence regarding the basis for the report to Bawaslu," explained Todung.
Previously, a community group calling itself the Election Supervisory Advocate (Awaslu) reported the candidate for Vice President (Cawapres) number three, Mahfud MD to the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) in the aftermath of a changeful question in the fourth debate of the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).
Ketua Awaslu Muhammad Mu'alimin mengatakan, laporannya itu dilayangkan lantaran menangggop kata Mahfud menghina Gibran.
"We from the Election Supervisory Advocate, in this case, reported the Vice Presidential Candidate 03, Mahfud MD, who in his debate on January 21 yesterday, he took action in the form of words which in essence tended to insult his opponents of the debate, at which time was vice presidential candidate 02, Gibran Rakabuming Raka," Mu'alimin told the Bawaslu office.
