Vice President Calls Two Finger Greetings In The President's Group For Bawaslu Affairs
JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said the issue of two finger greetings seen from the President's motorcade when crossing the City of Salatiga, Central Java on Monday (22/1), is an issue of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) to assess.
"Yes, including that (the two finger greetings) will also be Bawaslu's business," said the Vice President as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, January 25.
This was conveyed by the Vice President when answering about the existence of social assistance with a picture of one of the candidate pairs, which was distributed to the public.
The vice president said that the polemic about social assistance with a picture of a candidate pair or two finger poses from the presidential entourage was Bawaslu's business.
He asked the public to report to Bawaslu if they saw any suspected violations. Later Bawaslu will determine whether there was a campaign violation or not.
President Joko Widodo himself has responded to the two-finger movement seen from the motorcade that carried him across the city of Salatiga, Central Java.
"Yes, it's fun, it's fun," said Jokowi after witnessing the symbolic handover of the C-130J-30 Super Hercules aircraft at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, Wednesday (24/1).
The two-finger greeting pose is in the spotlight because it can be seen from the car that was boarded by Jokowi and Iriana with a red plate that reads "Indonesia 1".
In a video circulating on social media platform X, the people of Salatiga City, who are mostly suspected of being PDI-P sympathizers, are seen brandishing three fingers while cheering "Ganjar-Mahfud".

Responding to the community's reaction, a person from the President's car with a white long-sleeved shirt was rolled up, giving greetings to a two-finger pose.
The two-finger pose seems to support candidate pair number 2 Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, where Gibran is the eldest son of Jokowi and Iriana.
