Not Only The Owner Of Pacific Place Tan Kian, The AGO Also Checks MNC Sekuritas' Boss To Be A Witness To The Asabri Case

JAKARTA - Attorney General's office investigators have questioned the Chairman of KSO Duta Regency Karunia Metropolitan Kuningan Property who is also the owner of the Pacific Place Mall Tan Kian. Tan Kian was a witness in a case of alleged corruption at PT Asabri.

"There are six witnesses being questioned in connection with the alleged Asabri corruption case," said Head of the Legal Information Center of the Attorney General's Office, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak, to reporters, Tuesday, February 23.

Meanwhile, five other witnesses who were also examined today in the Asabri case, namely the Commissioner of PT Wimofa International Investment and the brother-in-law of the film director Raam Punjabi, namely Harjani Prem Ramchand, Director of PT Sugih Energi Tbk Andhika Anindyaguna, Director of Mirae Asset Securities Arisandhi Indrodwisatio, Director of MNC Sekuritas Adandri Adya and Complience Mandiri Sekuritas Director RM Omar Yusuf.

"All of them were examined in their capacity as witnesses regarding the PT Asabri corruption case," said Leonard.

The witnesses were examined by investigators to look for legal facts and gather evidence related to this corruption case.

In this case, the Attorney General's Office has named 9 suspects in the investigation of alleged corruption in the management of finance and investment funds by PT. Indonesian Armed Forces Insurance (Asabri).

The nine suspects were Director of PT Asabri for the period 2011 - March 2016 (Ret.) Major General Adam Rachmat Damiri, Director of PT Asabri for the period March 2016 - July 2020 (Ret.) Lt. Gen. Sonny Widjaja, Finance Director of PT Asabri for the period October 2008-June 2014 Bachtiar Effendi, Director of PT Asabri for the period 2013 - 2014 and 2015 - 2019 Hari Setiono.

Then the Head of the Investment Division of PT Asabri July 2012 - January 2017 Ilham W. Siregar, President Director of PT Prima Network Lukman Purnomosidi and Director of PT Jakarta Emiten Investor Relations Jimmy Sutopo.

The other suspects were Managing Director of PT Hanson International Tbk Benny Tjokrosaputro and Commissioner of PT Trada Alam Minera Heru Hidayat. Both Benny and Heru are suspects in the corruption case at PT Asuransi Jiwasraya.

This case is called the AGO which caused state financial losses of Rp. 23.73 trillion. The state losses in this case were far greater than in the Jiwasraya case.
