Hutama Karya Books Net Profit Of IDR 1.66 Trillion In 2023, Up 215 Percent
JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) (Hutama Karya) marks 2023 as a new chapter of the transformation carried out thoroughly on financial and business performance, the digitalization of construction to corporate branding.
Hutama Karya recorded a positive financial performance by printing a net profit of IDR 1.66 trillion, an increase of 215.31 percent compared to 2022. In terms of revenue, Hutama Karya recorded IDR 27.78 trillion in 2023.
"The success of Hutama Karya in carrying out corporate actions through investment cooperation with the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) on two toll roads in Sumatra is a milestone for the success of Hutama Karya's positive performance in 2023," said Hutama Karya President Director Budi Harto as quoted from his official website, Wednesday, January 24.
Budi Harto said that his party posted a positive performance after collaborating on investment through two toll roads, namely Medan-Binjai (16.8 km) and Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar (140.9 km) with a total transaction of IDR 20.5 trillion in June 2023.
"This investment cooperation activity has a good impact on companies, especially in terms of financial performance by reducing the company's interest and principal installments by 2025," he said.
In addition, the company also posted EBITDA in 2023 of IDR 4.1 trillion, an increase of 17.44 percent. Meanwhile, the company's equity reached IDR 115.33 trillion or grew by 36.04 percent.
According to Budi, Hutama Karya is now ranked 8th largest State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in Indonesia in terms of assets with a total of IDR 170.37 trillion, an increase of 8.96 percent.
Not only that, Hutama Karya has also succeeded in completing a number of strategic projects in Indonesia that can support interconnecting infrastructure between regions.
This is in line with the 5 Work Priorities of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo for the 2019-2024 Period, one of which is accelerating and continuing infrastructure development.
Furthermore, said Budi Harto, there were a number of projects that were successfully completed by Hutama Karya. Including a number of National Strategic Projects (PSN).
"As of December 2023, the long accumulation of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) that has been built by Hutama Karya has reached 951 km. Meanwhile, dozens of other construction service infrastructure projects have also been completed," he said.
According to Budi, the value of the construction contract in 2023 reached IDR 30.79 trillion with the largest contribution from road and bridge projects. "This value includes operational cooperation (KSO) of IDR 9.23 trillion and Non-KSO of IDR 21.55 trillion," he added.
