Successfully Built And Sold Abroad, Mitsubishi Triton And Honda WR-V Enter The Japanese Market
JAKARTA - The global automotive industry is experiencing massive developments today, and several companies are working to increase vehicle sales in various countries, including Japan.
Along with the increasing popularity of lifestyle vehicles in the Land of the Rising Sun, Japanese automakers introduced their foreign models to provide domestic consumers with more options.
Reporting from Kyodo News, Tuesday, January 23, companies such as Mitsubishi Motors plan to sell the Triton pickup in Japan starting February 15, after the model achieved success in Southeast Asia. It is known, the All-new Triton is produced at a Thai factory.
This car, which was first launched in Thailand, will be sold at prices ranging from 4.98 million yen or around Rp528.7 million. The triton offers high-power diesel engines, updated suspensions, and seven driving modes.
Yoshiki Masuda, Mitsubishi's Chief Product Specialist, stated that the latest Triton is aimed at consumers who want to own different vehicles in Japan. "We hope to revitalize the domestic pickup truck market," said Masuda.

In addition, Honda also introduced an Indian-made WR-V for the first time. This car, named 'Elevate' in India, is a compact SUV with a wide interior space, with prices ranging from 2.09 million yen or around IDR 220.9 million. The model is targeted at young consumers, in line with other models such as Vezel and ZR-V.
