Case Of Bodong Investments In Cianjur Delegated To Kejari, Police Will Open Safe Owned By This Woman
CIANJUR - The police handed over files on the invalid investment case in Cianjur, West Java, with the suspect HA to the Cianjur District Prosecutor's Office (Kejari). In the near future this case will be tried soon.
Cianjur Police Chief AKBP Mochamad Rifai said the police were still coordinating regarding the lack of phase II files to complete. Because the suspect was still silent when asked for information.
"Officers face many obstacles because many suspects are silent when asked for a number of statements. There are still a lot of information that the suspect is hiding, including the flow of funds from thousands of members reaching tens of billions of rupiah," Rifai said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, February 23.
However, the police have transferred the HA files to the Cianjur Prosecutor's Office, but they will still coordinate if there are files that are deemed insufficient to complete.
"It is just waiting for instructions from the prosecutor on which files must be completed, so that they can be P-21 or enter stage 2. However, until now investigators are still digging up information on the flow of victim's money that has been going to the suspect," he said.
The police are currently still looking for other assets that the suspect is suspected of hiding, including opening large vaults that are suspected of storing money deposited through the group leader of thousands of members from Cianjur, West Bandung, Sukabumi and Bogor.
"We will continue to develop it so that we can find assets that are suspected of being hidden by the suspect, while waiting for the P-21 process. We will also open the safe where the suspect's version of the key has been lost when questioned," said Rifai.
The police previously arrested HA, the owner of the Cianjur bogus investment, a resident of Limbangansari Village, Cianjur District, after having fled to a number of areas in West Java.
The police also managed to find other assets that the suspect had been hiding, such as four house certificates and four cars.
