Against Sheffield United, West Ham Failed To Win In The Last Minute
West Ham always took the lead but ultimately failed to win after a 2-2 draw against the bottom occupants of the Sheffield United standings in the English Premier League match at Bramall Lane Stadium, Sunday, January 21 evening WIB.
West Ham picked up a disappointing result. The chances of winning three points were dashed after Sheff. United scored from a penalty spot that equalized the score in injury time.
The draw made West Ham fail to move away from Manchester United's pursuit. The Hammers' position has not changed. The London club still occupies sixth place with 35 points. West Ham is only three points ahead of Manchester United who is ranked seventh.
Meanwhile, Sheff. United are increasingly at the bottom of the standings. Sheeff. United only have 10 points and only won twice so they are in danger of being relegated next season.
In that match, West Ham started well. They pressed the opponent's defense and managed to take the lead through winger Maxwel Cornet in the 28th minute. He welcomed Danny Ings' shot by throwing a shot into the net.
