Stefano Pioli Enters Coach With 100 AC Milan Wins In League

JAKARTA - AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli recorded his 100th victory in the Italian Serie A competition after defeating Udinese 3-2. The victory, which was marked by incidents of racism against goalkeeper Mike Maignan, made Pioli equal to the legendary Milan coaches such as Carlo Ancelotti and Fabio Capello.

Pioli set a record of 100 wins. In the midst of the issue of the unquenched dismissal, Pioli again proved his performance by bringing Milan to victory over Udinese at the Bluenergy Stadium, Sunday, January 21, 2024 in the morning WIB.

The 100th victory was achieved after Milan played 166 matches with Pioli. This achievement made Pioli equal to the four coaches Ancelotti, Capello, Nereo Badminton, and Nils Liedholm.

When asked about the record and the hope of winning the next 100th, Pioli also wanted to do it. However, that record could continue if he continued to handle the Rossoneri.

"I hope to continue. That's right," he replied to the media. "You asked, of course I answered," he said.

However, Milan had to work hard to give Pioli the 100th victory gift. When Milan were 1-0 up through Ruben Loftus-Cheek's goal, the match had to be stopped.

Because of the act of racism by unsurprised Udinese supporters. His team has almost been degraded, supporters even throw tantrums out of action against goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

Maignan also gave a signal to the referee to stop the match. He also left the goal towards the dressing room hallway. He was followed by all Milan players.

After being stopped for 10 minutes, the game continued. Udinese had equalized the score through Lazar Samardzic. Even the hosts then turned things around when Florian Thauvin scored and changed the score to 2-1.

Milan finally equalized the score through Luka Jovic. Furthermore, Noah Okafor became the determinant of Milan's 3-2 victory after scoring a goal in injury time.

"We played well for the first 30 minutes. We should have even scored more goals," Pioli said.

"The episode (Maignan) had slightly disturbed the stability of the team. But we quickly got up and returned to play according to the game plan. We also won with high determination," he said.

The victory over Udinese confirmed Milan's position in third place with 45 points from 21 matches. Milan is still four points adrift of Juventus who are in second place. But Juve still have one game left.
