Boyamin MAKI Tangtang KPK Reveals King Maker Case Pinangki Prosecutor, Given One Month
JAKARTA - The Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) Boyamin Saiman submitted the profile of King Maker on the case of Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). He obtained this profile from a witness at the trial of Prosecutor Pinangki.
"So I came to the KPK to collect things related to the king maker and at the same time I submitted a more detailed profile of the king maker. Because I got it from one of the witnesses who were processed at the trial yesterday through my friend to try to ask for an explanation of who the king maker is. like that and I will leave it here, "Boyamin told reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, Tuesday, February 23.
After this handover, the KPK was urged to investigate the king maker in the case of Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari. If within a month the anti-graft commission did not do it, he said, MAKI would file a pretrial lawsuit.
"Because it has narrowed, I will give a timeline of one month. If the KPK does not process it, I will sue it to pretrial," he said.
On that occasion, Boyamin explained that the figure of King Maker came from a law enforcer with a high position. It's just that, he was reluctant to open it in more detail.
"Later in pretrial I will open. King Maker from the element of law enforcement. Law enforcers and high positions. Law enforcers with high positions. That is based on the version of one of the witnesses who were processed to court," he explained.
This reason is why Boyamin prefers the KPK to handle investigations and expose King Maker. This is because he is not sure that other law enforcers will solve this case.
"I'm sure I can't if I am forced to go to the police or the prosecutor's office for this process. Because these law enforcers were involved," said Boyamin.
Previously, Attorney Pinangki was sentenced to 10 years in prison. In addition, Pinangki was also fined Rp. 600 million, a subsidiary of 6 months in prison.
Pinangki is considered to have committed a criminal offense that complies with Article 11 of the Corruption Eradication Law, Article 3 of the Law on Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering, and Article 15 in conjunction with Article 13 of the Corruption Eradication Law.
It's just that, even though the verdict has been passed, the figure of King Maker in this case has not been revealed. The judge said that this figure in the case of gratification in the processing of a fatwa at the Supreme Court (MA) is true.
"Considering that based on electronic evidence in the form of chat communication using the WA application whose content was confirmed by the defendant, witness Anita Kolopaking, and witness Rahmat's testimony, it has been proven true that the figure of King Maker is," said the presiding judge Ignasius Eko Purwanto in a trial at the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta, Monday, February 8th.
Furthermore, this figure was also not uncovered even though during the trial process the panel of judges had tried to extract information from the suspect or witnesses.
So far, it has only been revealed that the figure of King Maker was discussed by Pinangki when he met Joko Tjandra, Anita Kolopaking, and Rahmat.
"The panel of judges has tried to find out who the 'King Maker' figure is by asking the defendant and witness Anita because they were discussed in the chat and mentioned by the defendant at the meeting attended by the defendant, witness Anita, witness Rahmat, and witness Djoko Tjandra in November 2020 but still was not revealed at the trial, "he said.
