Airlangga Hartarto Checks And Hands Over Food Aid For The People Of Bandung City
Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto was actively involved in distributing government rice reserve food assistance (BCP) to food aid recipients (PBP) at the Bantunggal sub-district office, Bandung City, on Friday, January 19, 2024.
In his remarks, Airlangga emphasized what, "This social assistance program is a program that has been implemented by the government for a long time with the aim of increasing economic growth and maintaining people's purchasing power," he said as written statement received by VOI on January 19.
Regarding this assistance, not because of elections. "This effort will continue and will not stop even though there is an election or presidential election. In addition, the community has expressed an urgent need for this assistance, as they conveyed in a speech meeting, where they admitted that this assistance was very helpful and they asked that this program be continued," he said.
Prior to distribution, Airlangga Hartarto checked the rice to be distributed, ensured that there was no bleach and that the rice was safe for consumption, as a result of an inspection at the mini lab food security.
This 10 kg rice aid is part of a program that President Jokowi has programmed in a cabinet meeting, with the clear aim of supporting 22 million recipients of the Family Hope Program (PKH) and assisting El Nino given to 18.8 million workers for two months due to harvest difficulties due to the El Nino storm.

Airlangga explained that the distribution of this rice will be carried out through PT Pos, while PKH recipients will also receive El Nino's assistance of 200 thousand per month.
