Mothers In NTB Detained With Breastfeeding Children: Forced To Be Processed. 9 Times Mediation Failed
JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters said that the Central Lombok Police were forced to process the law of four housewives (IRT) who threw stones at a cigarette factory. The reason is that repeatedly peaceful attempts at mediation have failed.
"The Head of the Central Lombok Police has conducted 9 mediations but it was failed", said the Head of Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, to reporters, Tuesday, February 23.
The failure of the mediation was due to the four housewives who continued to throw actions at the cigarette factory. Suhardi from the UD Mawar Putra cigarette company decided to make a police report.
"There was an action throwing stones against the roof of UD Mawar Putra's warehouse so that the workers were afraid and stopped their work activities. This incident was then reported to the Central Lombok Police", continued Argo.
From that report, the police arrested 4 housewives. Currently, the file has been submitted to the Praya District Court.
"The case files are currently complete, but no arrests have been made against the reported", said Argo.
Four IRTs in Wajageseng Village, Kopang District, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, have to languish behind bars at the Praya District Prosecutor's Office with two of them having babies.
The four housewives threw down the cigarette factory in Eat Nyiur Hamlet as a form of protest because of the pollution caused, including the factory's protests choosing to employ outsiders rather than residents.
Each of the IRTs from Wajageseng Village, Kopang District, Central Lombok are Nurul Hidayah (38 years), Martini (22 years), Fatimah (38 years), and Hultiah (40 years).
They are residents of Eat Nyiur Hamlet who are threatened with Article 170 of the Criminal Code paragraph (1) with the threat of imprisonment of 5-7 years on charges of vandalism
