VIDEO: A Man Sued By His Girlfriend Rp1.4 Billion Because His Promise Was Not Married
JAKARTA - In March 2022 there was a Kupang resident, NTT who sued his girlfriend for Rp1.4 billion because he was not married. The lawsuit case ended with the Supreme Court's cassation decision rejecting the defendant's cassation. This means that the defendant must grant the plaintiff's request in this case.
The woman named Windy Ekaputri Datta sued her boyfriend Carlos Daud Hendrik for breaking her promise to marry. Even though both of them already have boys over one year old. The lawsuit has been registered at the Class IA Kupang District Court on March 31, 2022 and has undergone several trials.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for Carlos' family said the reason for not continuing the wedding stage was because Windy's family wanted him. However, when Carlos visited Windy's house, Windy's parents admitted that they were not happy with Carlos' attitude. Even when Carlos stood up to explain, Windy's family suddenly abused him in front of his parents. Carlos and his family had reported to the Kupang City Police Headquarters and the case of persecution ended in court.
Windy's father and several of his family were found guilty and sentenced to eight months in prison. Then for the case of a lawsuit of Rp. 1.4 billion by Windy, it now ends with the Supreme Court's cassation decision which rejects Carlos's cassation. That way, the Supreme Court of Justices agrees and agrees with the decision of the Kupang High Court Judge who has declared Carlos to have committed an unlawful act for not marrying him Windy.
