Bawaslu And DKI Satpol PP Tertibkan Flag-Baliha Political Parties In 3 Jakarta Regions
JAKARTA - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of DKI Jakarta and the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP control the campaign props (APK) of political parties in three areas in the capital city ahead of the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).
"In West Jakarta it is in the Joglo area, Kembangan," said DKI Jakarta Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Coordinator Benny Sabdo to reporters in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 16.
Control in South Jakarta is carried out on Jalan Gatot Subroto and Rasuna Said. "Then in East Jakarta it is the Matraman area," he said.
Benny said that this control was carried out by the DKI Bawaslu together with the Satpol PP, the DKI Jakarta National Unity and Political Service (Kesbangpol), political parties and district and city levels.
This control continues to be carried out in stages by prioritizing locations that have been seen chaotic. The obstacles in this activity are limited human resources (HR).
"Because our human resources are limited, actually the Satpol PP as the enforcer of the regional regulation can also carry out direct executions," he said.
Benny emphasized that the campaign should be a true political educational event by enlightening instead of endangering road users.

Moreover, his party has also appealed to political parties participating in elections and individuals such as candidates from the Regional Representative Council (DPD) so as not to install APBs in prohibited places.
"Well, our friends at the district, city and sub-district levels have actually also given recommendations to the Satpol PP," he said.
The DKI Bawaslu refers to the Decree of the DKI Jakarta KPU Number 363 concerning the Installation Location of Campaign Performance Equipment in the Province of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta in the General Election of 2024.
Previously, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency said that the revocation of the 2024 Election APK in prohibited places in Jakarta was awaiting a decision by the Jakarta BawasluDKI.
This includes the existence of an APK in the form of a flag at the bicycle lane barrier (stick cone) on the Rasuna Said flyover, South Jakarta.
