Anies Promises To Build A Habitable House In Sorong's Rufei Village
Presidential candidate number one Anies Baswedan promised to build a habitable house in Rufei Village, Sorong City, Southwest Papua.
"One of them is this village, we want it to become a livable village," he said when meeting residents of Kampung Rufei as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 16.
Anies explained that he had a dialogue with villagers from the Kokoda Tribe. They live in a house on stilts, on the edge of the sea made of wood and far from adequate.
"Houses that can't be called healthy can't be considered appropriate," he said.
The tribal chief and the head of the local RT told him that they no longer needed to tell the condition of the residents.
"We don't need to tell you, because you've seen it yourself and you already know the condition and that's what has to be changed," said Anies, imitating the words of the residents of Kampung Rufei.
With this condition, said Anies, it is an example that the change must be made. Papua is a country that is very rich in nature, he said, but there are still many families, even in the city, even though it is part of the city of Sorong whose basic needs have not been met, namely a decent house.
Another aspiration conveyed by residents is land issues, residents' desire to have additional facilities such as prayer rooms and service places.

"What's interesting here is that even though the house is very simple, it can even be said to be far from feasible, but this is an example of living together in harmony," he asserted.
According to him, in one house, five heads of families (KK) can live in five families. The five families, it could be different religions, could be two Muslims, three Christians or vice versa. They live at home in a harmonious and peaceful atmosphere.
