Samsung Opponents Climate Change Through Sustainable Commitment
JAKARTA Samsung Electronics, a technology manufacturer from South Korea, is one of the big companies that was present at the Consumer Electronics Show (2024) exhibition in Las Vegas.
During the event, Samsung not only exhibited advanced technological tools, but they also encouraged sustainability in overcoming climate change by creating environmentally friendly technology.
Samsung has a special zone called Sustainability. In the zone, they invite visitors to find out how the company can fight climate change, ranging from creating environmental strategies to collaboration to protecting the environment.
Environmental strategies were first created in 2022 to tackle increasingly extreme climate change. Through this strategy, Samsung is trying to achieve its net zero carbon emissions target by 2050.
Samsung outlines the timeline for achieving the sustainability the company wants to achieve over the next two decades, starting with an announcement of its strategy against net zero carbon emissions targets, Samsung said in an official statement.

In addition, Samsung is also trying to circularize resources by utilizing recycled materials. The company made various models of environmentally aware innovation so as not to worsen climate problems.
Another effort to suppress climate change is to launch SmartThings Energy. By utilizing AI Energy Mode, users can manage the use of their device's energy, save electricity bills, while reducing carbon emissions.
The Galaxy device manufacturer is also working with startups to address environmental challenges. They support various innovations created by startup through the C-Lab Outside program and working with Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC).
