Aceh Police Thwarts Circulation Of 32.1 Kilograms Of Shabu
BANDA ACEH - Aceh Police and their ranks thwarted the circulation of methamphetamine with a weight of 32.1 kilograms until mid-January 2024.
"In addition to methamphetamine, the Aceh Police and their ranks also thwarted the circulation of 80.5 kilograms of marijuana and 5,000 ecstasy pills," said Deputy Chief of Aceh Police Brigadier General Armia Fahmi in Banda Aceh as reported by ANTARA, Monday, January 15.
Tens of kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and marijuana are total drug evidence confiscated from 46 cases with 59 suspects.
"From the disclosure of narcotics, addictive substances, and illegal drugs, the Aceh Police saved 257,000 lives from the misuse of methamphetamine, 257 thousand people from marijuana, and 5.00 people from ecstasy pills," said Armia Fahmi.
The Deputy Chief of Police of Aceh expressed his concern about the circulation and abuse of drugs in the province of the western tip of Indonesia. This is because the circulation and abuse of prohibited goods have now spread to rural areas.

"In addition, Aceh has now become the entry point for drug smuggling to Indonesia from abroad. And this certainly requires joint work to prevent the entry of these prohibited items," said Armia Fahmi.
Brigadier General Armia emphasized that the Aceh Police are committed to eradicating drug trafficking and abuse. However, the police cannot work alone to eradicate the circulation and abuse of narcotics, addictive substances, and other illegal drugs.
"The eradication of drugs requires the support of all parties, including community participation by reporting if anyone sees and finds drug trafficking and abuse," he said.
