Khofifah Hope Students In East Java Maintain SNMPTN Achievements
SURABAYA - Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa is optimistic that the number of passing students in East Java, through the National Selection for State Universities (SNMPTN) 2021 will remain high. Khofifah hopes that the achievements of East Java students in 2019 and 2020 can be maintained this year.
"We hope that what has been achieved in 2019 and 2020 can be achieved again this year. Students should register themselves immediately," said Khofifah, in Surabaya, Monday, February 22.
Therefore, Khofifah urged students to choose the right college and department according to their interests and abilities. He also asked parents to provide motivation and assistance in the registration process for their children to enter State Universities (PTN) through the SNMPTN route.
"To the school principals, so that they can facilitate and oversee the registration process of their students to enter PTN through the SNPTM route," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the East Java Education Office, Wahid Wahyudi, explained that the State and Private High Schools and Vocational Schools in East Java had been preparing since the beginning of the 2021 SNMPTN registration process. Wahif admitted that he had also conducted outreach to students and parents regarding the procedures and requirements that had to be met, including the choice of universities and majors.
In fact, said Aahid, SMA / SMK in East Java starting January 4, 2021 has facilitated students who are in class XII, to register on the Higher Education Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT) account, and continue with filling out the School and Student Database (PDSS). ).
"The number of Public and Private SMA / SMK / MA / SLB graduates in 2021 in East Java will reach around 529,494 students. The details are 175,590 high school students, 244,470 SMK students, 1,097 SLB students, and 108,337 Madrasah Aliyah students," he said.
Wahid admitted that the East Java Education Office had also collaborated with several state universities such as Airlangga University and ITS Surabaya to provide outreach to school principals, teachers and students about the PTN entry selection process this year. So it is hoped that students in East Java will understand well the processes, procedures and requirements that must be met.
"With the various preparations and socializations that we have done, we are optimistic that in 2021 East Java will again win the title as a province with the most students passing PTN through the SNMPTN route," he said.
PTN registration via SNMPTN 2021 is open from 15 to 24 February 2021. Registration is done online through an account at the Higher Education Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT), and the results will be announced on March 22, 2021.
This year there are 85 state universities in Indonesia ready to accept new students for the 2021/2021 academic year, through this SNMPTN route, both universities, Islamic universities, institutes and state colleges.
