Couples Killed In North Sumatra, Bodies Full Of Puncture Wounds Found In PTPN II Sugar Cane Plantation
MEDAN - The police are investigating a case of robbery that killed a husband and wife (a couple). The couple's body was found in the sugarcane plantation area of PTPN II, East Binjai District, Binjai City, North Sumatra (Sumut).
The couple named Sugianto (56) and his wife Astuti (59), residents of Sei Mencirim Village, Kutalimbaru, Deli Serdang Regency. Both were found with stab wounds.
Head of Public Relations of the Binjai Police, AKP Siswanto Ginting, said that his party had already processed the crime scene (TKP) and identification. In addition, a number of witnesses have also been questioned.
"The motive of the perpetrator was to take a Honda Vario type motorbike and valuables belonging to the victim," he said as quoted by Antara, Monday, February 22.
He said the victim Astuti's body had stab wounds on the neck and bruises on the head. Meanwhile, her husband had a broken head due to a blunt object.
"It is suspected that the perpetrators of this violent theft were more than two people," he said.
