KPU Kasih 1 Day For PSI To Fix The 2024 Election Campaign Fund Report

The General Election Commission (KPU) has given the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) 1 day to improve the initial report of campaign funds (LADK).

"After receiving the LADK document from PSI, we also confirmed. The information we received was that PSI would repair its LADK," said KPU RI Technical Division Coordinator Idham Holik after attending the PKPU Three Design Trial event in Jakarta, Thursday, January 11, which was confiscated by Antara.

If the legislative candidates (candidates) involved in political parties do not want to collect or be late in completing the LADK revision from the deadline, said Idham, the KPU will announce the names of parties that do not want to report LADK.

"There are also sanctions in the form of disqualification if the legislative candidate is still reluctant to report the LADK," said Idham.

The disqualification process, he continued, in stages, namely that the legislative candidates who sit in districts/cities will be disqualified by the relevant district/city KPU. Meanwhile, the Indonesian KPU will handle the legislative candidates in the DPR RI Member Election.

It was also explained that the deadline for LADK reporting was on January 7, 2024. However, the KPU opened a period of improvement until January 12, 2024 for parties that want to report or evaluate reports.

"We believe that Indonesian voters are increasingly aware of the importance of a transparent campaign," he said.

Previously, the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) conveyed the details of the total revenue and expenditure in the LADK of all national political parties participating in the 2024 General Election.

Based on the LADK, the PDI-P is listed as the political party with the highest total receipts and expenditures, namely Rp. 183,861,799,000.00 (Rp. 183 billion) and Rp. 115,046,105,000.00 (Rp. 115 billion), respectively.

Meanwhile, PSI is listed as the political party with the smallest expenditure, which is Rp. 180,000, while the total revenue is Rp. 2,002,000,000.00 (Rp. 2 billion).

Responding to this, the Chairman of the Indonesian General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Rahmat Bagja saw the need to check PSI's LADK expenditures of only Rp. 180,000.00.

"Yes, it must be checked why the person concerned is like that," said Bagja, Wednesday, January 10.

According to Bagja, sometimes political parties submit makeshift reports and have just made improvements lately. This has become a matter of performance among political parties.

"Sometimes people to comply with the program are put in first, the repairs are later. That is also a problem," said Bagja.

Bagja said that the LADK of political parties, both revenue and expenditure, must continue to be updated, especially since there will be reports of campaign fund receipts and expenditures (LPPDK).

Deputy Chairman of the PSI DPP Board of Trustees Grace Natalie said that the PSI campaign fund expenditure report reported by the KPU was not final.

"This report is still ongoing, there are transactions that have not been paid. We will input this when it is paid off. We will input it when it has made a payment and we will receive proof of receipt," said Grace, Wednesday (10/1).

Grace said that the total expenditure of the party's campaign will be seen later at the LPPDK at the end of the campaign period because her party still needs to collect data.
