Not Politics, The Shooting In Sampang Is Old Revenge Because The Perpetrators' Subordinates Have Been Shot By Victims

The East Java Regional Police confirmed that the shooting case in Sampang Regency was not politically motivated. The shooting of the Musarah victim, Prabowo Subianto volunteers, was motivated by revenge.

"In this case, it is certain that there is no political element. The motive is purely because of the revenge of the MW perpetrator against the Murah victim," said Director of Criminal Investigation at the East Java Police, Kombes Totok Suharyanto at the East Java Police Headquarters, Surabaya, Thursday, January 11.

Suspect MW is the village head as well as the main actor who plans to shoot Murah.

Suspect MW wants revenge against Murah, because his subordinate was shot by Murah in 2019. Meanwhile, the case itself has been transferred through court channels.

"The investigation process and the facts have been completed at the court. In essence, the suspect MW has been revenge since 2019, because the suspect's subordinate was shot and the victim is currently the victim. The victim and perpetrator of the relationship are only friends, not family," said Totok.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Forensic Laboratory of the East Java Police, Kombes Sodiq Pratomo, explained that the Labfor team did not find any projectiles or casings when conducting a crime scene (the crime scene) at the location. However, his party conducted an examination of the hole used fire on the victim's clothes.

"After the victim was autopsied and his bullet was taken, it turned out that there were two bullets, and both were 38 caliber revolvers. Then after the suspect was caught, two weapons were found, a SNW revolver and a 9 milli caliber pistol," he said.

Meanwhile, the two rifles used by the perpetrators, Sodiq, ensured that they could be used properly. Because at the gun, there were traces of residue, which means that two shells had been found that had been fired.

"After a laboratory test was carried out, the two shells and projectiles were identical to the revolvers," he said.

The police have named five suspects in the case. Namely MW, 36, a resident of Lon Kebun Hamlet, Ketapang Daya Village, Sampang District. He is an individual village head as well as the main actor in the case.

Then the suspects H, 51, and S, 36, the second residents of Jalan Raya Banyuates, Banyuates Village, Banyuates District, Sampang Regency. Both of them were the ones who helped launch the shooting, as well as helped find the executor. Then the suspects AR and HH, both of whom came from Pamekasan Regency, played jockeys and executors.

"The suspect MW promised to pay Rp. 500 million, but the money that had just been received was Rp. 50 million for operations. While where did the gun obtained by MW come from? We are currently still investigating the gun," he concluded.

As a result of his actions, the five suspects were charged with Article 353 Paragraph 2 Subs 351 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code Jo 55, 56 of the Criminal Code or Article 1 paragraph 1 of the Emergency Law No. 12 of 1951, with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
