The Governor-Minister Of PUPR Review The Construction Of The Padang-Sicincin Toll Road
West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi accompanied the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono, to review the continuation of the Padang-Pekanbaru Toll Road project for Padang-Sicincin section.
"During this visit, the Minister of PUPR requested that PT Hutama Karya increase the number of workers so that the Padang-Sicincin toll road can be completed in July 2024," said West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi in Padang, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 11.
Mahyeldi said information from the West Sumatra National Land Agency (BPN), land acquisition has reached approximately 98 percent.
"A small part of the land that has not been acquired is currently in the settlement stage by the State Asset Management Institute (LMAN) together with the State Land Agency (BPN)," he said.
According to him, what needs to be further coordinated is related to toll exit. It was immediately discussed with Padang Pariaman Regency.
"So now it's just work to be done by Hutama Karya," he said.
Mahyeldi hopes that after the Padang-Sicincin section is completed in July 2024, it can be continued on the Sicincin-Bukittinggi, Bukittinggi-Payakumbuh and Payakumbuh-Pangkalan sections.

Previously, the construction of the Padang-Pekanbaru Toll Road was confirmed to continue, in line with President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) commitment through the addition of State Capital (PMN) of IDR 28.88 trillion to Hutama Karya.
President Jokowi's commitment to accelerate the construction of toll roads in Sumatra is contained in Government Regulation Number 45 of 2023 concerning the Addition of State Equity Participation of the Republic of Indonesia to Share Capital of the Company (Persero) Hutama Karya.
In addition to reviewing the progress of the construction of the Padang-Sicincin toll road, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono and Governor Mahyeldi also reviewed the condition of the Kiambang bridge in Padang Pariaman Regency, where the buffer pole seemed to be tilted after being hit by the floods in September 2023.
During the visit, the Minister of PUPR also ordered the Road Hall to immediately review the design of the Kelok Sembilan arrangement.
