Dozens Of Traders In Pejambon, Central Jakarta Feeling Cheated After Their Kiosks Were Dismantled By The Central Jakarta City Government

JAKARTA - The culinary kiosk revitalization project on Jalan Pejambon, Gambir Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta, is still neglected, Thursday, January 11. Until now, the Central Jakarta City Government has not built a culinary stall for traders as promised previously.

This condition certainly makes dozens of traders who sell in the area suffer losses.

Caung (43), one of the chicken noodle traders, said that initially the Central Jakarta City Government through the Assistant for the Economy and Development of Bakwan Ferizan Ginting promised that the revitalization process would only be completed in December 2023.

However, until now in 2024, there has been no revitalization in the area. Meanwhile, dozens of traders have been relocated in Loksem Cibunar and Gondangdia.

"If this is finished in December, we can automatically sell and make a living. But in reality, until now there has been no development, this is detrimental to traders," he told reporters, Thursday, January 11.

Furthermore, Caung said, because of the lack of clarity from the Central Jakarta City Government, he again set up a tent with the permission of David Rouring as the heir to the land owner in the Pejambon area. Precisely in addition to the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

"I have coordinated with Mr. David to set up a tent stall here and he has allowed it," he said.

Caung questioned the seriousness of the Central Jakarta City Government to revitalize the penjambon area because if it wanted to be revitalized, it would be done immediately. If not, let the traders sell here

Previously, the Central Jakarta City Government dismantled 17 street vendor stalls in Pejambon, Gambir on October 10, 2023.

Jakpus City Government Development and Economy Assistant, Bakwan Ferizan Ginting said that the revitalization of the Pejambon area uses CSR funds from one of the banks. However, in reality, development has not yet been carried out.
