Jayapura Police Arrest 2 Tikus Drink Makers, Case Processed By Drug Investigation Unit
PAPUA - Jayawijaya Police Chief AKBP Heri Wibowo said he had arrested two suspected perpetrators of making alcoholic beverages such as rat stamps.
Both initials RN (25) and CT (47), were arrested on Jalan Yos Sudarso Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Mountains, Tuesday 9 January afternoon.
"Currently, the two perpetrators and evidence have been secured at the Jayawijaya Police Headquarters in Wamena for further processing by the narcotics unit," said Jayawijaya Police Chief AKBP Heri Wibowo in his statement, Wednesday, January 10, quoted by Antara.
As for the evidence confiscated, namely 50 bottles of rat-cap (CT), one gallon of rat-cap (CT), four buckets of balo-type water immersion, two stoves and dangdang used to cook the concoction of the drink.
"Currently, the two perpetrators and evidence have been secured at the Jayawijaya Police Headquarters in Wamena for further processing by the narcotics unit," he said.

He said the Jayawijaya Police were still committed to eradicating alcoholic beverages, including those made locally.
According to him, the eradication was carried out to prevent disturbances to public order in Jayawijaya Regency because of the trigger for alcoholic drinks.
