Recovering State Losses, Prosecutor's Office Confiscates Land Of Corruption Defendant For West Sumbawa Village
The Prosecutor's Office confiscated valuable assets belonging to Sadiqsyah, a defendant in the alleged corruption in the management of government capital investment funds in a regional company (perusda) West Sumbawa.
Head of the Special Crimes Section of the District Attorney's Office (Kejari) West Sumbawa Lalu Irwan Suyadi said the assets were in the form of a plot of land belonging to Sadiqsyah located in Taliwang District.
"We confiscated it as part of efforts to recover state losses," said Lalu in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Wednesday, January 10, which was confiscated by Antara.
In another effort, he said that his party was still tracing the defendant's assets. One of them is in the form of a plot of land located in Maluk District.
"We are still investigating the basis for his rights in Maluk District for further confiscation," he said.
The confiscation in an effort to recover state losses was not only carried out on Sadiqsyah's private land. Previously, the defendant's house in Bale Santong's neighborhood had also been confiscated.

For other efforts to recover, the prosecutor's office also confiscated assets belonging to other defendants, namely Engkus Kuswoyo. The confiscation was carried out when the case was still under investigation.
