AHY Calls Anies' Questions To Prabowo About Non-Relevant Ethics
Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) commented on the question raised by the presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan regarding ethics and leadership to presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto in the debate of the three presidential candidates held at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday 7 January.
He said the questions about ethics were irrelevant to the themes raised in the debate, namely defense, security, geopolitical and international relations.
"Actually, in my opinion, the matter is irrelevant to the theme raised," AHY said in his statement, Sunday, January 7.
AHY previously also said that Prabowo could answer questions relevant to the debate theme well. He also admitted that he was happy with Prabowo's explanation of promoting Indonesian foreign politics which was active free.
"I am happy that he emphasized the importance of Indonesia continuing to implement active free politics. Be good friends with all," he said.
"Including that we want to be part of efforts to maintain stability not only in the region but in the world," he continued.
AHY explained that apart from being the Minister of Defense, Prabowo also has a long track record as a TNI soldier.
"He is not only someone who has only been serving as a defense minister for the past 4 years as a TNI soldier who serves to maintain the integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia," he added.
