Recently, the floods that have been most highlighted have been those in Jakarta. On Saturday, February 21, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said floods in Jakarta could not subside within 6 hours because the flow from the upstream was still running even though the rain had stopped.
"Well, what happened was the rain stopped, but the flow from upstream was still going on so that is where it became a separate obstacle", he said.
He emphasized that joint efforts are needed, especially to deal with water sent from the DKI Jakarta buffer zone.
"It is noted that the water is sent from the upstream area, and the central area, the upstream area is the Bogor area, the central area is the Depok area, it is now on its way to Jakarta. Well, on the way to Jakarta it will certainly have an impact on the surrounding areas", he explained.
