National Police Chief Values Masyarakat Has Determined Choices, Invites To Create Peaceful 2024 Elections

GUNUNGKIDUL - In addition to choosing the President and Vice President, the 2024 election was held to determine members of the DPR, members of the Provincial DPRD, members of the district/city DPRD, and members of the DPD.

The Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo, invites all elements of society to create a peaceful 2024 General Election.

During a working visit to Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, Saturday, General Listyo said the election vulnerability index issued by Bawaslu was a reference for the National Police to always declare peaceful elections at every opportunity and at all times in areas that had a level of vulnerability.

The declaration of peaceful elections was carried out by organizers, the community, community leaders and political parties.

"We do this in several areas simultaneously," said Listyo, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, January 6.

He said the purpose of this declaration was that although there were differences in parties and the selection of conditions remained peaceful. In the last few days on television media and social media conditions have started to heat up.

"Our hope at the community level has no effect. We believe that the community is mature in making their choices in the ballot booth," he said.

He said that having different opinions is a natural thing. This is because it is part of democracy.

"If we can maintain peace, our hope is that democracy will run well," he concluded.
