PKS Faction DPR Member: The Police Must Heed The Relationship Between Kompol Yuni Purwanti And The Drug Supplier
JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) faction Mardani Ali Sera asked the police to investigate the drug supplier for the Astana Anyar Police Chief, Kompol Yuni Purwanti Kusuma Dewi. This needs to be done, because he is worried that this case is an iceberg phenomenon which has actually happened a long time ago.
"We have to look at the root of the problem. I'm a little worried that this is just an iceberg that appears a little but under a lot," said Mardani in a discussion broadcast on his YouTube account, Sunday, February 21.
He also asked the police to study Yuni's relationship with the drug supplier. Mardani hopes that Kompol Yuni will not become the person who protects the drug mafia in Bandung, West Java.
"Because if we look, this drug mafia is one of the most brutal in his courage," he said.
"So I see, come on, we dismantle what is the connection, where the meth came from, how did it hit, so we couldn't fall in the same hole twice," he added.
Furthermore, he also spoke about the issue of the death penalty for Yuni in accordance with the direction of the former National Police Chief, General Idham Azis. According to Mardani, the police who were caught doing drug parties should be punished with the heaviest sanctions.
"I agree with the harsh punishment as the previous Chief of Police, Pak Idham Azis. Even though it comes to the death penalty, that is another chapter," he said.
The chairman of the DPP PKS thinks the police should be a good example in the community. So, Yuni's actions can no longer be forgiven.
"Because of that the public is naturally angry," said Mardani.
Mardani asked the police to investigate the evidence that could put Yuni to death. The police are asked to be indiscriminate and ask the public not to get emotional because the judge will still give the final decision in court.
"Whether it is followed up later depends on the judge's decision," he said.
Previously reported, West Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Dofiri previously said, YP Police and 11 Polri members were arrested starting with one police officer who was indicated to have abused drugs.
Knowing this, the Propam team, Police Headquarters and West Java Regional Police conducted an investigation. From the results of this search, it was found that the suspicion that Kompol YP was involved in drug abuse.
The joint team immediately made arrests of the 12 Polri members. They are now being secured by the West Java Police Propam. Apart from being secured, they were also given a urine test to confirm their involvement.
In this case, Kompol YP has been removed from his position. This case continues to be investigated regarding the alleged involvement of other parties.
