Pak Anies, PDI Party Said That The Function Of Reservoirs In DKI Jakarta Is Not Optimal So That Flooding Continues

JAKARTA - Deputy Secretary-General of the DPP PDI Perjuangan Party Sadarestuwati highlighted that the function of reservoirs in the DKI Jakarta area which is not yet maximized is one of the causes of flooding that hit this capital city.

"These are all actually gifts. If they are not treated, they will not be used properly", said Sadarestuwati, who is also a member of Commission V of the Indonesian Parliament, during the program of the Movement for Greening and Cleaning Watersheds (DAS), Cinta Ciliwung Bersih, wave second at the Cincin Reservoir, North Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Sunday, February 21.

Sadarestuwati alluded to the recent conditions in the capital city with many flood points in several areas that need to be noted by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, especially regarding optimizing the function of reservoirs.

On that occasion, Sadarestuwati together with the Secretary-General of the PDI-P Hasto Kristiyanto and the Chairperson of the PDI Party DPP Cadre Division Djarot Saiful Hidayat and the Chair of the DPP PDI Party for Culture Tri Rismaharini also monitored the condition of the Cincin Reservoir.

The 8.2-hectare reservoir that surrounds Papanggo Village, Tanjung Priok is still found with garbage. Another note that was conveyed by Sadarestuwati was regarding the dredging of the reservoir which had not been done for a long time, especially when it was entering the rainy season.

In addition to being a place to collect water, he said, reservoirs can also be developed, such as a tourist and sports area, including the Cincin Reservoir as an artificial lake that generally has strategic functions and benefits.

"This is to collect water, one of the efforts to prevent flooding. This lake water can be used as a source of water. Various kinds of water can be used here", he said.

Optimizing the function of the reservoir, he said, certainly requires innovation from the local government and public awareness to care for it.

"How to make people look after our environment. Optimizing what is there", he said.

Sadarestuwati together with other cadres also spread tilapia fish as a form of love for the party to the environment.

In essence, said Sadarestuwati, the green political movement echoed by the PDIP so far is to give awareness to the public to love the surrounding environment.
