Agnez Mo's Party Has Not Yet Responded To The Prohibition Of Bringing Ari Bias' Song
JAKARTA - The ban on singing songs for Agnez Mo from Ari Bias has been busy talking about lately. However, the songwriter admitted that there had been no response regarding the ban.
"There is no (response from Agnez Mo or the management)," said Ari Bias when contacted by VOI on Thursday, January 4.
The Elkasih band's personnel said that Agnez Mo's management had not been cooperative from the start.
Ari Bias admitted that he had contacted Agnez Mo's brother who represented management in July 2023. He informed that he had applied direct license for the songs he wrote, but there was no positive response from Agnez Mo's brother.
"July I will inform social media and inform via WA (WhatsApp) to the management of each artist, including Agnez Mo's management. Agnez Mo's management is his own brother, Steve," he said.
Ati Bias admitted that she had never received royalties when Agnez Mo performed his song at a concert, so there is no other way to go than to apply direct license at this time.
"So, twenty years I haven't received a single rupiah, it's only natural now that songwriters are literate, they know royalty governance, so they just realized that there is an economic right from every concert they (singer)," said Ari Bias.
"And just logic, every concert gets money, starting from dancers, soundman, crew, ticket sellers, and others. But the song they performed, whose creator was struggling, didn't get his economic rights. That's not fair," he said.
