TKN Will Ask For Clarification Behind Central Jakarta Bawaslu Regarding Gibran's Summons
JAKARTA - The Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) confirmed that it would clarify the case that was used as the basis for summoning its vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming Raka by the Central Jakarta General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu).
Because previously, the Indonesian Bawaslu had declared the Gibran campaign to distribute milk during CFD in the Hotel Indonesia (HI) roundabout area, there were no general election violations.
"If the name means ne bis in idem," said Deputy Chairperson of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Habiburokhman at Bawaslu Central Jakarta, Wednesday, January 3.
Ne bis in idem is known to be the legal principle that prohibits the defendant from being tried more than once for an act if there is a decision that punishes or releases him.
Sata was asked if this was regarding the governor's regulation regarding motorized vehicle free days, Habiburokhman admitted that he did not understand.
Habiburokhman also said that he did not know whether the case related to the vice presidential candidate must be clarified at the Central Jakarta Bawaslu regarding governor regulations related to motor vehicle free days.
"For Pergub 12 of 2016, I don't understand whether this is a Satpol PP, because what is the authority of the Central Jakarta Bawaslu," said Habiburokhman.
