RSPI Cannot Make Sure Patients Died Due To Corona Or Not

JAKARTA - President Director of the Sulianti Saroso Infectious Diseases Hospital (RSPI), Mohammad Syahril, stated that one patient under surveillance (suspect) the corona virus or COVID-19 died today, Friday, March 6.

However, Syahril could not confirm that the patient died due to a positive corona virus infection or not. Because, he said, the female patient had a history of complications.

"(The patient) who died is still being evaluated and the result has not been declared positive, because he is old and has a very severe course of illness, such as complications and hypertension," said Syahril at RSPI Sulianti Saroso, North Jakarta, Friday, March 6. .

The results of the interim examination, this 65-year-old patient suffered from severe pneumonia, with fever and shortness of breath.

"So there are mild, moderate, severe ISPA. Very severe pneumonia, yes," he said.

Furthermore, Syahril stated, the condition of the suspect patient before being referred to RSPI Sulianti Saroso was indeed already severe. Previously, the patient was referred from a private hospital in an unconscious condition. At that time, he was already using an air ventilator medical aid.

"His condition is bad, use a ventilator, referral from a private hospital and there has been one week, he is old and has been buried by his family," he said.

As of Friday afternoon, as many as 548 people under monitoring (ODP) had recorded the new corona virus. They previously reported their health complaints to RSPI Sulianti Saroso.

Separately, the spokesman for the handling of the Corona virus outbreak, Achmad Yurianto, announced that there were two more positive COVID-19 patients, bringing the total number of patients to four.

The 33-year-old and 34-year-old patient was declared to have contracted the virus after contact tracing with a previous positive patient who was examined by the DKI Health Office. The first patient (case 1) who came into contact with the new patient was infected by a Japanese citizen during a dance event some time ago.

"After we checked, two tested positive. So we call them cases 3 and 4. Their current body temperatures are 37.6 and 37.7 degrees Celsius," said Yurianto at the Presidential Office.
