Lebanon Ready To War Against Israel
JAKARTA - Lebanese Minister of Manpower Moustafa Bayram said his country was ready to face a possible military conflict with Israel after an Israeli attack spread to the Israeli-Lebanon border region.
Bayram said the final decision would be made on the battlefield and insisted Lebanon was ready to face any war involving his country.
"We are not attacking anyone, but we have the right to answer any aggression. We are ready to respond to all the aggression we may face and we are ready to face any war that occurs," he said.
Bayram dismissed the threat that Israel would kill Secretary General Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, but stressed Hezbollah was taking the threat seriously and would take all steps to protect its leaders.
Last week Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati warned that Israel's attack on his country would exacerbate regional conflicts that sparked a war that dragged the entire region.
Israeli troops and Hezbollah have been fighting since Israel launched an all-out war in the Gaza Strip from 7 October.
