Incidents Of Persecution Against Ganjar Pranowo Volunteers By TNI Personnel Viral On Social Media

BOYOLALI An alarming incident occurred in Boyolali, Saturday (30/12/2023), where a number of volunteers and supporters of presidential candidate pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo, became victims of persecution by TNI personnel.

The dramatic video of the incident quickly spread on various social media platforms, including Twitter, on Saturday afternoon. Several accounts that uploaded the video included @ruhanhl, @YRadianto, @YudhaShanny2, and a number of other accounts.

Video footage shows scenes of abuse against motorcycle drivers by a group of people. Initially, they were seen on the side of the road, but then approached the passing motorcyclist.

Victims of persecution, known as volunteers from presidential candidate pair number 03, Ganjar Pranowo - Mahfud MD, have just returned from a campaign event in Boyolali. The incident occurred at the Sonolayu traffic light, Boyolali, Central Java, when the victim was intercepted by a number of people who turned out to be TNI personnel from Battalion 408.

In the video narration, it is known that the motive for this persecution is related to motorcyclists who use non-standard exhausts with loud noises. After being intercepted, the victim was immediately taken to the guard post.

The TNI acknowledged that there was an incident of abuse involving their members. Brigadier General Nugraha Gumilar, Kapuspen TNI, explained that the incident occurred due to a misunderstanding related to a motorcycle rider using a Brong exhaust. "The gas has been played around. It has been warned and there has been a misunderstanding," said Brigadier General Nugraha Gumilar when contacted on Saturday, December 30.

Furthermore, Kapuspen TNI emphasized that the members of the TNI involved in the persecution were in the process of being investigated at the Surakarta Denpom. "This person is currently in the process of examining the Surakarta Denpom and there will be firm action from his direct superiors," said the Head of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, Brigadier General Nugraha Gumilar.
