Instead Of Penitence, Resediists In Grobogan, Central Java Reinforce, Spray Chili Water In The Faces And Rob Victims' Money
JAKARTA - The Temanggung Police, Central Java (Central Java) arrested Warji, a Grobokan resident who had carried out a seizure in Temanggung. The perpetrator's mode is to spray chili liquid into the victim's eyes.
Kasatreskrim of the Temanggung Police, AKP Setyo Hermawan, said that Warji was arrested by the Satreskrim ranks of the Temanggung Police in collaboration with the Grobogan Police. The suspect is a recidivist of the same case in the Grobogan District Police
"He was detained at the Temanggung Police on reports of violent theft against Dadi Utomo (59), a resident of Pringsurat, Temanggung," said Setyo Hermawan, quoted by Antara, Friday, February 19.
Warji and his friends were reported by Dadi, because they had forcibly taken their belongings on Jalan Kalicacing-Demangan, Pingit Village, Pringsurat District on January 19, 2021.
At that time, Warji rode with his friend Asep (fugitive status) to stop the victim riding a motorcycle. The victim is about to go to work. "It happened at noon at 13.00 WIB," said the Police Chief.
Setyo said the suspect sprayed chili liquid into the victim's eyes, so the victim pulled over to the side of the road and was followed by the suspect.
The suspect also threatened the victim with a hammer, so that the victim would hand over the things he was carrying. Because they resisted, the suspect hit the victim's head in the front and took the bag that was brought and fled.
"Inside the bag is an ATM card, BPJS card, cell phone, and cash worth Rp. 2 million," he said.
For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 365 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code concerning Violent Theft with the threat of 9 years in prison. Suspect Warji admitted that he did not know where his friend was at this time.
He said that the plunder had been planned by preparing chili liquid to paralyze the victim. "First we got pepet, then sprayed chili water in his eyes," he said.
