There Are 23 Investors Entering IKN Until The End Of 2023, Investment Value Reaches IDR 41 Trillion

The Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) said that it had realized investment commitments worth IDR 41 trillion in IKN development in East Kalimantan until the end of 2023. The total non-APBN funding came from 23 domestic investors aka domestically.

Deputy for Funding and Investment at OIKN Agung Wicaksono said the entry of 23 investors was marked by the implementation of the three series of groundbreaking or groundbreaking from September to December 2023.

In the first stage, there were 4 investors entering IKN. Then, in the second stage there were 9 investors, and in the third stage there were 10 investors.

"We can convey that from the IKN 2023 investment, there are 23 investors (entering IKN). So, in 2023 the number of non-APBN investments reached Rp41 trillion, starting from the first stage of Gorundbreaking (September), the second stage (November), and the third stage (December)," Agung said in a virtual press conference, quoted on Saturday, December 30.

In detail, the four investors who entered the first phase were the Innopark Foundation, Abdi Waluyo Hospital, PSSI, and the IKN Consortium (consisting of Agung Sedayu Group, Adaro, Sinarmas, Intan Island, Salim Group, Astra, Mulia Group, Barito Pacific, Kawan Lama Group, and Alfamart) with a total investment of IDR 23.1 trillion.

Next, the second phase of investment that entered through groundbreaking in November 2023 came from Hermina Hospital, Pakuwon Group, Jakarta Intercultural School (JIS), Mayapada Hospital, Astra International, Ministry of Transportation, BPJS Employment, Bank Indonesia, and PLN with a total investment value of IDR 13.1 trillion.

Meanwhile, the investments that entered IKN through the laying of the first stone in the third phase in December 2023 were Aqua, Ministry of PUPR, Ministry of Health, The Pakubuwono Development, Wulandari Bangun Laksana, Balikpapan Super Block, BSH, Bluebird, Polri and TNI with a total investment value of IDR 5.9 trillion.

"So from all the investors that we want to emphasize is that IKN was built, started, pioneered by domestic investors, domestic investors, and if we look at the companies that became pioneer investors, these are very bonafit companies," he said.

Meanwhile, OIKN said that the groundbreaking for the construction at IKN will be carried out again from January to February 2024.

According to the plan, there are 15 private investors who will be involved in the groundbreaking.

"In 2024 we will also start with another groundbreaking between January and February, and there are already 15 investors who are in the preparation stage," he said.
