A Number Of Police Were Injured As A Result Of The Riots At Sentani During The Iringan Of Lukas Enembe's Body
JAKARTA The commotion occurred when Lukas Enembe's body arrived in Sentani, Thursday, December 28. The mass action carried out stone-throwing on a number of objects, causing a number of police officers to be injured.
Information obtained, the riots occurred when the body of the former Governor of Papua arrived at Sentani from Soekarno Hatta Airport (Soetta). According to records received by VOI, at 09.50 WIT, the bodies were taken to an ambulance, but were intercepted by a number of people who asked for the bodies to be immediately unloaded from the ambulance, because they would carry Luka Enembe's body to STAKIN.
At around 10:15 WIT, the bodies were carried by the masses and paraded on foot from Sentani Airport to STAKIN.
When the masses carried the bodies, it was suspected that Bintang Kejora's attributes were flown in front of Lukas Enembe's coffin. When crossing the Pos 7 Sentani complex, the masses carried out anarchic actions by throwing stones at several shophouse buildings and cars parked with stones.
