COVID-19 Update As Of February 19: 10,614 New Cases, Healing Up 10,783
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 88,821 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 10,614 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 1,263,299 people and 160,142 active cases," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Friday, February 19.
Today's cases recovered increased by 10,783 cases, so that a total of 1,069,005 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases that died increased by 183 people and the total was 33,152 people.
The province with the most new cases is in West Java with 3,847 cases and a total of 192,373 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta, which has 1,920 new cases with a total of 323,031 cases. Central Java has 1,206 new cases and a total of 146,170 cases. Then, East Kalimantan has 718 new cases and a total of 51,544 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 2,651 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an increase of 2,364 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 599 recovered cases, and East Kalimantan with an additional 511 recovered cases.
No province reported having no new cases as of today. The province that reported the fewest new cases was North Maluku with 1 case.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 10,277,568. In detail, 10,128,455 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 149,113 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"The cumulative positive results per number of people examined or a positivity rate of 18.5 percent," he wrote.
