Throughout 2023, Soetta Airport Experiences An Increase In The Number Of Passengers By 79 Percent

TANGERANG Throughout 2023, there were 13,257,357 Foreign Citizens (WNA) and Indonesian citizens (WNI) in and out of Indonesia through Soekarno Hatta Airport (Soetta), Tangerang City. This figure is considered to have increased by 79.18 percent compared to 2022.

"This number has increased by 79.18 percent compared to last year's 2022," said Head of the TPI Special Class I Immigration Office Soekarno Hatta, Subki Miuldi to reporters, Wednesday, December 27.

Subki detailed that the entrance crossing through Soekarno Hatta International Airport in 2023 for Indonesian citizens was 7,439,903 people and 2,160,404 foreigners were foreigners.

The majority of Indonesian national crossings are due to performing Umrah. Meanwhile, many Nataru (national and New Year) holidays, Indonesian citizens, go to Singapore and Malaysia," he said.

Meanwhile, for arrivals in Indonesia, there are 2,160,404 foreign nationals (WNA). He said, generally they come with the aim of areas in Indonesia.

"I think the increase in crossings that go out and into the territory of the Republic of Indonesia will experience a faster normalcy after COVID-19," he concluded.
