Case Of Child Abuse Siti Badriyah Allegedly Due To Economic Problems

JAKARTA - Siti Badriyah's two children who were victims of abuse who were suspected of being carried out by their biological grandmothers, live in worrying economic conditions. The impact of economic difficulties, through acts of violence against children in a small rented house, Karang Anyar Village, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta.

MY grandmother (60), the alleged perpetrator, lives with her two grandchildren in a rented house worth IDR 700 thousand per month.

According to neighbors, MY does not have an income. Even to pay rent, sometimes the victim's father takes it.

"Nenek (the alleged perpetrator) contracted 700 thousand a month. His (grandson) has four children. Two people live with their grandmother, 5 years old and 3 years old. The other two (carried) with their mother (Siti Badriyah)," said a VOI source in MY rented house, Wednesday, December 27, noon.

MY is the mother-in-law of Siti Badriyah, the mother of the two victims of the persecution. Siti Badriyah and her husband turned out to be not officially divorced, the two couples just separated from bed.

"Nenek is Siti's father-in-law. His mother is Siti's husband," he said.

The two victims lived with their grandmother for about 2 to 3 years. Siti, the victim's mother, is also said to rarely come to visit her two children who live with her in-laws.

"The father has just left, so only his grandmother (MY) and two grandchildren," he said.

As previously reported, two boys aged 2 and 5 were allegedly abused by their biological grandmother, MY (60) and suffered bruises. In fact, the two victims were said to have not been fed by their grandmothers.

These two victims live in the same house as their grandmother. Meanwhile, the victim's mother separated from her husband.

Siti Badriyah as the victim's mother admitted that she received this information from her neighbor on Monday, December 25, in the afternoon.

"I just found out from my neighbor that my child was abused by his grandmother," said Siti when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, December 27.

On that basis, Siti decided to report Mulynah to the Central Jakarta Metri Police. The report is registered: LP/B/3075/XII/2023/SPKT/POLRES METRO JAKPUS/POLDA METRO JAYA.
