The Ministry Of Finance Does Not Allow The Kemayoran Athlete's Wisma To Be Borrowed For The Election Logistics Warehouse
JAKARTA - The Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) rejected the request for a loan from Wisma Atlet Kemayoran to be used as a logistics warehouse and a recapitulation place for the 2024 General Election for Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta.
This was revealed by the Head of the Planning and Logistics Division of the General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta Province, Nelvia Gustina. Nelvia said that this refusal was following up on the submission letter submitted by the DKI Provincial Government to the Ministry of State Secretariat because Kemayoran District currently does not have an adequate logistics warehouse and recapitulation site.
"Our borrow-to-use application letter has been rejected. The reason is because it is being renovated," Nelvia said in a short message, Wednesday, December 27.
As a result of this rejection, the KPU is currently using rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Kemayoran District office to temporarily put logistics on the 2024 General Election, before voting day.
In the future, the KPU encourages the DKI Provincial Government to provide alternative locations that can be used as a place for recapitulation of voting results. Given, it is the local government's obligation to facilitate logistics storage and recapitulation of election results in their respective regions.
"For sub-district-level recapitulation sites, we encourage the acceleration of the renovation of the Kemayoran Sports Hall," said Nelvia.
Meanwhile, another sub-district that was reported did not yet have a logistics warehouse, namely Mampang District. Now, the Ministry of Manpower is willing to lend the vocation building of the Director General of Binalavotas of the Ministry of Manpower for use.
Previously reported, Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD urged the DKI Provincial Government to immediately find a solution to the shortage of logistics storage and recapitulation of the 2024 General Election.
This issue was complained by the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU). The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has lent all sports arenas (GOR) to each sub-district for election logistics storage.
However, there are still a number of GORs that are still being revitalized and have not yet been completely rebuilt. Several sub-districts have received alternative logistics warehouses, but there are still three sub-districts in Jakarta that do not yet have logistics and recapitulation warehouses.
"This vote recapitulation place is very important. This must really have a solution," said Chairman of Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Mujiyono.
